ABU DHABI, March 21, 2026 (WAM) -- Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), emphasized that the UAE maintains a high level of preparedness with an advanced cybersecurity ecosystem to address potential cyber threats or attacks. As part of ongoing national efforts to strengthen the UAE's cybersecurity ecosystem, Dr. Al Kuwaiti, accompanied by a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council, conducted field visits to various cybersecurity operation centers among government institutions, critical sectors, and private sector partners on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, highlighting uninterrupted operations and national preparedness. During the visits, he reviewed key operational and technical capabilities for monitoring cyber threats and responding to digital incidents. The briefings highlighted advanced systems and platforms used for threat detection and analysis, early warning mechanisms, and operational procedures available for rapid response and effective control, in line with international best practices. The visits encompassed a range of vital institutions, including strategic government entities, leading national companies, and critical digital infrastructure providers, reflecting a unified and coordinated national cybersecurity framework. Dr. Al Kuwaiti noted that this preparedness reflects the directives of the UAE's smart leadership and its ongoing commitment to ensuring security and stability in the digital realm.
